Aengus
Devine is a Dublin born singer, musician and songwriter. His song featured here
- "One of those girls" - was on the playlist of Irish radio stations 2FM & Radio
1 earlier in January 1999 - without it even being released! This prompted several
offers from record companies and the single should be on general release in a few
months. Always defying categorisation, his collection of songs can only be described
as eclectic - everything from power pop in the vogue of the Byrds to songs as soulful
as anything that has come out of this island.
Aengus has built a bit of a reputation for his singular singing voice - not to mention
his great humour and entertaining performances (don't miss his cover version of
the song from the "Bargain Town" radio advert that often sneaks into his live set!).
