De Novo Dahl 1704 0
Started by Binokular
I've got an MP3 kicking round my hard drive by a band called De Novo Dahl that I've had since I downloaded it from th SXSW site last year. Only really listened to it recently and I quite like it, the track is called 'All over town', catchy, dense, pop-rock.
Anyone got their album 'Cats & Kittens' Any good

Another recommendation from me is this lot.
New UK band - quirky indie pop / kitschy and Cure-esque in parts... but thats prob more to do with the vocals.
Playing Whelos on Feb 26th
Check em out!
First and current single (me thinks) - Trains to Brazil.

My fav discovery of last year - tho they've been going longer than just that.
French Canadians and Absolute nut balls mixing new wave/drum and bass/punk/electronic with a front woman that makes Karen O look like a nun!
I really really like this lot and recommend them thus far!

Check out this Japanese duo, they have been around for years, but I picked up their album last April in Kyoto. Some of it sounds like Primal Scream some of it just mad fecked up.
Chuck D has worked with them and Howie B has remixed them...all good.

Haven't seen these guys mentioned round these parts.
They released one of my favourite albums of last year 'And The Glass handed kites' following up on an excellent debut 'Frengers'.
They sound like a beautiful blend of My Bloody Valentine, M83, and Sonic Youth.
