The Cure Are No More 969 3

damn
Two members of goth rockers The Cure have departed the British group leaving question marks hanging over an upcoming European tour.
Upset keyboard player Roger O'Donnell announced his departure yesterday on his official website, while a fansite dedicated to Perry Bamonte has conveyed the same news about the guitarist.
In O'Donnell's posting, he writes: 'I am no longer a member of The Cure. It was sad to find out after nearly 20 years the way I did but then I should have expected no...

Bloke Songs - Cluas Opinion 1095 6
Started by Binokular
So what did you all think of Cormac Looneys piece on the 10 greatest bloke songs of all time (http://www.cluas.com/opinion/top_10_bloke_songs.htm)
Personally I have to say none of those songs would have immediatelly sprung to mind for me if I was compiling the same list, but then it wasn't a subject I'd given a lot of thought. If you could pick one or more bloke songs, to include, what would it be (it goes without saying that you don't need to be a bloke to offer an opinion here!)
I wou...

Well, whaddya all think
I liked John Legend the most, thought Martha Wainwright and Frank Black (Black Francis) were minging. Van The Man gets more like Sean Cullen's brilliant impersonation of him, (Thats put the proverbial cat amoung the proverbial pigeons )
All the best

hope anyone who saw them last night in whealans was just as blown away as i was. They are one of the few bands in dublin who doesnt rely on a image and who are out there trying to do their own thing. Probably my fave band in dublin. The sound last night was amazing, ive never enjoyed a unsigned band so much. The crowd was a bit s**t though, typical s**te though i suppose when much of the crowd is probably friends and family, talking on their phones and not getting the music.
Ive seen the lad...

The Arcade Fire collaborate with David Byrne 2213 20
Started by stroller
The B-side on one of the two 7' versions of the new Power Out single is a live collaboration between the Arcade Fire and David Byrne. They're performing the Talking Heads classic This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody). Am I the only one who's ridiculously exited about this I ordered my copy today and I'm already counting the days til it arrives. Does anyone know where I can listen to it online I don't think I can wait til the end of the week.

Just got selected ambient works '85-'92 there,
its very good, wouldnt usually be into the whole electronica thing, but this is sweet, very organic and fluid , which is unusual enough for electronic stuff, usually needs a bit of 'live' instrumentation for that warmth
kinda like 'music for airports' but a lot fuller

'CARL BARAT is to release a compilation of his favourite tracks for the latest ’UNDER THE INFUENCE’ collection.
Drawing on bands from The Clash, The Mamas And The Papas, Supergrass to The Streets, the former Libertine will put out the collection on June 27.
Speaking about the album in the sleevenotes, Barat said: “Growing up at the time and in the way I did, there can be no continuity or order in the music that fed me… So, in summary, make mine a pint and I’ll see you by the pool with a bo...
