Safest and most dangerous driving songs 1353 10
Started by Binokular
I've always reckoned those 'driving rock' compilations that come out every so often were pretty innapropriate music for the car (besides being loaded with dadrock) and now I have proof, well sort of.
According to a recent survey of motorist and accident rates the safest songs are:
Disco 2000 - Pulp
Don't Cha Wanna Ride - Joss Stone
Heya - OutKast
They can't take that away from me - Frank Sinatra
Canon in D - Pachelbel
Light - Talvin Singh
The worst are:
Firestarter - The...

Dublin, August 2043 12
Started by vortexsurfer
Hi everybody, I'm visiting Dublin (from Norway) in a couple of weeks and would like to catch a live show or two while I'm there, if there's anything interesting on. Would greatly appreciate any good tips about bands playing or other stuff happening that's worth checking out (aspecially anything that's off the radars of the likes of Ticketmaster).
I'm in Ireland for a week from Thursday the 4th of August, and, so far, seeing Presidents of the USA on Saturday is candidate 1.

Just read that review there. I was at that gig - I basically wondered into Whelos waiting for the 'band' to finish up. My Jesus the thing that those lot created.... unwholley.
I was talking to them afterwards - because I really needed help gettin my head around what I had just witnessed and apparently its 'noise metal' and the quest for the punk mentality of today - bollix in fairness it was the biggest load of s**te I have ever heard - It was just noise... that was it. Ultimate list of Irish bands 3004 22
Started by aidanc
Hi all,
I have just launched a new website - http://www.irishrockers.com
The site has a database of well over 100 of the biggest Irish rock artists. The reader can enter comments on the page for each band, so feel free to get it started and add your comments about your favorite Irish musicians. It's likely I've missed a few important ones so let me know if you notice any major ones that I've missed.
thanks,
Aidan

You know that Elton John & Kiki Dee tune 'Don't Go Breaking My Heart' Well it turns out that before he passed away Ol' Dirty Bastard recorded a version of the song with Macy Gray. You can listen to a snippet of it here;

The Flaming Lips have recorded a new tune Mr. Ambulance Driver for the soundtrack to the film Wedding Crashers. Rarther than fork out €15 for a CD with only one tune I want on it, I tried to download the Flaming Lips track off itunes. The site would allow me to download several indivdual tunes off the album but not that one. I could only get Mr. Ambulance Driver if I downloadd the entire album for a tenner. Naturally enough I think this is a bit of a rip off. There doesn't seem to be any plans t...
