anyone else check out the ad for this HotPress Mix05 course
Is it a load of nonsense to get money from wide eyed and ignorant types(me), or is it of value to someone with a vested interest in understanding some of the serious side of this mad mad music business and essentially learn alot of important stuff(me also)

I wish I could say that I knew all about this guy but, sadly, I only found out about him last friday night thanks to Mark Radcliffe and The Cambridge Folk Festival on BBC Four. Oh, and he has been nominated for the Mercury Music Prize. I think his CD is on sale in HMV at the moment.

DRY COUNTY - wish I had seen them ages ago
JAPE - loved the album, now love the live shows
DELORENTOS - getting better and better
GIVEAMANAKICK - the best fun i had at a gig in ages
CELEST - brilliant, absolutely brilliant
HOUSE OF MEXICO - they had only one song but it was a great song!

ha, just read the single review of Jessica Simpson's cover of 'These Boots are Made For Walkin'' in the Ticket, (one star) had to put it up though, pretty funny, (n she did slaughter a great tune)

Anyone going to the Festival of world cultures in Dun Laoghiare this weekend I was there last year and it was great craic, if the weather is nice its a great place to spend the day. The only problem is it clashes with HWCH festival in town!
