Are Whipping Boy reforming? 1742 12

I was talking to a mate last night who was playing at Hard Working Class Heroes. He claims that he got chatting to Fergal McKee at the festival and apparently Whipping Boy are heading back into the studio and they're already talking about doing gigs in cork and Dublin. I also read a piece by Jim Carroll in the Ticket a couple of weeks ago that hinted strongly at the posibility of reunion before the end of the year.
Does anybody else have any more info on this

Anyone else head along to nada surf last tuesday.
i thought the sound was awful. Worst ive experienced in the village. but it got better near the end. as did the atmosphere. it was a little reserved at the start, but by the end the crowd seemed to really enjoy it. They even played popular

What a gig. I haven't enjoyed a gig in Whelan's as much as that since Bloc Party. And kudos to CH-1, a pretty decent support act. Time to stick 'The Back Room' on again!!!!

The Good:
Can we just declare Arcade fire to be the best band in the world right now and be done with it I've never seen a crowd so up for a band in my entire life. I was also pretty surprised that so many people knew the songs from the EP. Can't wait to see them again in central park next week.
The Flaming Lips were very good and I enjoyed Goldfrapp a great deal despite the fact that I've never really heard much of their stuff.

Lets face it Radio play is important. I think we have a strange situation in Ireland where we laud a number of DJ's as being the voice of Independent Irish Music - the types that take a punt on previously unheard of bands - however I'm not sure that we have them in the right order. Everybody will rattle off - Tom Dunne, Jenny Huston, Dave Fanning, Alison Curtis but I have to say I'm not sure that I agree - ok maybe Fanning but for what its worth I think they have been marketed well. But what stands out as one of the stupidest things a musician has done and you wish they hadn't I'm not talking about Michael Jackson hanging a baby off a balcony or Mark from Westlife revealing his sexual preferences.
