Hey all
As i approach my 30th year on this planet I am starting to feel an urgent need to have something which makes me get off my arse and get fitter again!... The Marlboro Red's have to go....
Would anyone have any interest in meeting once a week in dublin, weekends say or midweek and playing football with a view to possibly sending a team down to Galway for the 5-asides next summer

I have to admit to being highly sceptical about anything Mick Jagger says in public or towards anything the Rolling Stones intend to release, especially with their world tour due to hit Dublin next year. But their latest album 'A Bigger Bang' is pretty good. Not their best but still worth turning the volume up for.
Anybody got opinions on it or their world tour

seems that 2FM are broadcasting the show in the next few weeks - sun oct 2nd, 11pm to be exact. excellent.
on a similar note - does anyone have any links to arcade fire live shows from this summer MP3 links rather than bit-torrents or streams. i've looked but they all seem to have been, er, 'removed'.

Been reading on www.frankandwalters.net that the lads are touring, recording and promoting.
I'll be nipping in to Tower on Saturday the 8th to catch the show and pick up a copy of their album.
Favourite song is New York, followed closely by Time we said goodnight.

My iRiver ihp-140 which ive had for the past 2 years, packed it in this week. It appears that the battery has gone on the machine. Its going to cost me 55 euro to replace it...
Im totally lost without it though. Got rid of my mini disc player and my disc man once id bought the mp3 player so ive nothing to fall back on..
arghhh... the pain. its like losing a minor limb.

theres a very interesting survey over on the oxygen site about what people liked and didnt like about this year's festival, then, at the end, they add in a few questions about the Picnic.
It would seem that MCD are preparing early for next summer's festival battle and see the picnic as competition
