Without this topic trying to alienate posters from outside the Pale. I just wanted to ask if this month in particular was one of the best for a long, long time with so many cracking gigs in Dublin
I've recently witnessed great shows by:
- Architecture In Helsinki TBMC
- Humanzi TBMC
- Bloc Party Olympia
- Dirty Three The Village
With these still to go:
- Public Enemy The Village
- Rosie Thomas Crawdaddy
- The National Whelan's
- Lost Crawdaddy
- The Prescriptions...

Bands skipping Dublin on European tours 3806 21

I know this is a pretty jam packed month of decent gigs but how come bands like The White Stripes and The Strokes are skipping Dublin on their current tour
Any other acts do this recently
I know Arcade Fire played Electric Picnic but they didn't do an indoor venue here. And Drive-By Truckers only went to London when they left the States in August.
Is this down to Irish promoters reckoning that certain acts won't sell out gigs Or do they not have the persuasive powers to attract such ...

Where are radiohead these days. Have they lost the ground that they used to hold.
I find it very hard to listen to radiohead these days and I used to be a big fan. I duno why, but to me it just seems that listen back to their music now, that some of it just, well doesnt entertain me anymore. Hard to put a finger of it for me. Maybe its that it just seems like too much effort was put into some of their music.
Anyone else find this
