It's on the music scene (or relative lack of one) across Connaught as she sees it. It's one that's worth a read: http://www.cluas.com/music/features/music-in-connaught.htm eoghan

14 Replies and 1511 Views Garden Party/ MCD vs Aiken & POD  1511  14 Started by  elmo95 I was working at it and I must say the atmosphere was quite cool and relaxed. Haven't been to EP yet but if this is anything to go by then I certainly won't mind chilling out on a bench looking at New Order (or someone else who I wouldn't mind seeing but couldn't be arsed getting up for). MCD vs Aiken & POD- Who will it be

30 Replies and 3264 Views Cluas World Cup  3264  30 Started by  Gar I know that the incapable Brian Kerr couldn't get Ireland into the tournament but this year's World Cup should still be decent. With the weather starting to look good and England moaning about not having Rooney, it's happy days so far. I've set up a fantasy football league for anybody who is interested. Just go over to http://fantasyfootball.metro.co.uk and join the Cluas League using this code: 81966-20698

13 Replies and 5658 Views What happened to Woodstar?  5658  13 Started by  jmc105 anyone know anything about this band came across a few mp3s that seem to be from an ep, i know they had an album out a few years back and found a few reviews of that but they don't seem to have a website - if they do it's able to hide from google, which is some feat. are they still around

12 Replies and 1940 Views Red hot chillis review  1940  12 Started by  loserbrian Most lazy piece of journalistic pomp i have ever seen. The songs are all the same absolute bull. 'rhythm section which sounds like a series of lead weights being dropped on a hard wood floor'- are you for real, tell me that is a joke. I guess the chillis are a soft target not playing straight 4/4 with television rip off riffs backed up by cheesy 80's keyboards.

0 Replies and 1026 Views Brain Eno and Roxy Music  1026  0 Started by  Protein biscuit Brian Eno gets back with Roxy Music, sort of (from Pitchfork): It's a bird! No, it's a plane! IT'S A FLYING PIG! And only when pigs fly does Brian Eno reunite with Roxy Music. The much-rumored return of the legendary producer/artist/professor/anti-war activist/thinker to the band that gave him his first taste of fame was confirmed recently by Eno, in an interview with Richard Williams of the British paper the Guardian. Roxy Music members Bryan Ferry, Andy Mackay, Phil Manzanera, and Paul Th...

7 Replies and 1443 Views Cheapest CDs Online?  1443  7 Started by  stroller For the past couple of years I've being using CD Wow to buy any major releases that I wanted and I've bought the more obscure stuff from Amazon Market Place. However last week I bought a CD off a site called www.bangcd.com. The CD only cost €10.50, postage was free and it arrived within seven days. Is this the cheapest place to buy CDs online

8 Replies and 1152 Views Album Artwork on iTunes  1152  8 Started by  Gar One of the biggest complaints I have about the whole itunes bandwagon is the fact that you can't always find the correct artwork for the album that you want to upload. I know it's a petty thing but it bothers me when I can't find artwork from hardly any Irish acts or old compilations online anywhere. I'm trying to find the artwork for a compilation called 'The Devil's Music: Keith Richard's Fave Tunes'. I think it was an Uncut compilation but can't be sure. Any help would be appreciated!!! ...

18 Replies and 1552 Views Can't tell one song from another...  1552  18 Started by  stroller Do you ever stumble across artists who recyle the same sounds so much that every song they record sounds virtually identical. I reckon that Alison Goldfrapp has released the same song but with different titles about five times in the last few years. When one of her songs comes on in the backround I have to wait until the chorus to figure out if it's Strict Machine or Train or Ooh La La.
