The Southern Side of Van Halen 981 0

Just came across this on i-tunes, another slice of the burgeoning genre of RockGrass,
'Stumming With The Devil: The Southern Side of Van Halen'
2006 CMH Records
A variety of well known bluegrass artists such as Blue Highway David Lee Roth tackle some of the Halens finest tunes, not half bad and the version of Jump is great fun. Oh they won't like this at the Grand Ole Opry, they won't like this one bit
Ps: I'm dying to hear Alison Krauss tackle the music of Heart.

What the hell happened to Kenny Rogers' face????? 1079 1
Started by Antistar
Check out the promo shots for the Midlands Festival.
Kenny Rogers looks completely different!!!!
He's had so much botox pumped into his face, not too mention the odd scalpel-assisted facial readjustment, that he's now the spit of esteemed British theatre actor Sir Derek Jacobi!!! Check it out.Utterly bizarre.

Listen to the MP3, staggering how similar they are
Story taken from Gigwise www.gigwise.com/newscontentid=17507
'The Red Hot Chili Peppers have been accused of plagiarism by a radio station in America.
The station, WGMD in Delaware, has produced pretty damning evidence that the bands last single 'Dani California' is a rip off of a Tom Petty track.
The song in question is Petty's 90's hit 'Mary Jane's Last Dance' and the radio stations Morning Show presenter and producer have ...

Anyone head to this on Sat night Thought it desevered a thread!
Twas a good enough turn out. Missed the first 3 bands so cant comment. Well I caught the end of 'Fast Emperors' from Belfast. Sounded pretty decent.
Though Ham Sandwich were quite good - never seen them before.
Ed Zealous - another Belfast band were after them. Tight and the singer had a good voice but it was all a bit too reminiscent of a Snow Patrol buzz for me. Altho maybe a little heavier.
Sickboy were legend. Got a...
