3 Replies and 1416 Views Kelly Osbourne  1416  3 Started by  Q2 Howdy all, I have to say it is completely beyond my comprehension how Kelly Osbourne could possibly have a record contract and more to the point, sell records at all. I know it's because of her father but Jesus, come on, the woman cannot sing for s**t. Who in their right mind would consider her a decent artist Ugly as hell too. Q2

4 Replies and 1730 Views PJ Harvey at Slane!  1730  4 Started by  Wicked Yes!!! I am so unbelievably excited and over the moon that PJ Harvey has been added to the Slane bill! Are they many other PJ fans here on this board I urge you guys to check her out if you haven't already, because she is quite simply the most talented, sexy, fierce, passionate, hard-rocking, original artist out there. Between her and QOTSA, I'm gonna cry with happiness. I'm not a big Foos or Chili Peppers fan to be honest, but Slane is gonna be so worth it for PJ and QOTSA alone!!! :D

5 Replies and 1722 Views RadioDays  1722  5 Started by  roxy Starting next Monday 3rd on NEAR FM I'll be presenting a weekly show called White Noise. It’s basically acting as a showcase for new Irish artists (and maybe international, that’s yet to be decided). (NEAR fm is a community station based in Coolock.) I know it’s something that’s being done on other stations but I think everyone would agree that there’s no harm in giving as much airplay as possible to new irish music. I'll be featuring demos, EPs and the like and I'll have a live act in stu...

0 Replies and 1286 Views ** NEW FUTURE KINGS OF SPAIN SINGLE...  1286  0 Started by  madouva Just a quick one: FUTURE KINGS OF SPAIN are set to release 'FACE I KNOW' - the first single from their imminent debut album on Monday 31st March 2003 on Red Flag Records. 'The album was recorded in New York with Ted Niceley (producer of Fugazi, Girls Against Boys) and Eli Janney (Girls Against Boys) at the knobs and switches. 'Face I Know' is three minutes and thirty two seconds of spiky, artful, alt-rock perfection. In short: a blistering follow-up to their debut single - September 02's 'A...

4 Replies and 1969 Views Nick Hornby's 31 songs to die for  1969  4 Started by  tobble So Nick Hornby has written a book about 31 songs that changed his life or something (and the only band to have two songs in it is Teenage interestingly enough). But Bruce Springsteen at number 1 with Thunder Road Anyway, not wanting to go down the (predictable) route of complaining about what is in the list (or what is not in the list) may I offer that I think the inclusion of Paul Westerberg's 'Born For Me' is exquisite. And if you don't know his 'Suicaine Gratificati' album from which it is t...

Dublin songwriter Singleton continues a series of Dublin gigs by playing in VIVA, South William Street, Dublin 2 on 12 March at 8.30pm. Catchy tunes, influenced by the work of 60s and 70s pop acts such as the Beatles and Bowie, meet dirty beats and interesting grooves in an exciting gig. For more information please visit www.singletonmusic.com or email infosingletonmusic.com.
