Galway's Cover band love affair 1477 0

I have been living in galway for a few years and find it more and more frustrating and difficult to find a venue to play with my band due to the unchallenged acceptance of s**te cover bands playing every venue and pub every night. we can only get a gig now and again which is just a pain in the ass. How would one approach getting a gig up in the big smoke seeing as how there are gigs there every night

This will be preceded by the single 'There There' on May 26.
'Hail To The Thief' features 14 tracks and was recorded in Oxfordshire and Los
Angeles. It was produced by Nigel Godrich and Radiohead, and mixed by Nigel
Godrich.

Anyway, Settler will be joining me in studio this coming Monday 24th for a wee knees up. The menu comprises a chat about god knows what, a few loive choons. And impressions. Mostly of dead people. Or living people whom we wish were dead. It's all the same. And then maybe they'll trash the studio. Maybe not. I really can't say.

if you, like me, reckon that 'hips and makers' is one of the most incredibly honest, moving and astoundingly-performed records of all time, then be sure to check out the new album from kristin hersh, which will be released alongside her new throwing muses LP...kristin's new solo one is called 'the grotto' and features howe gelb of giant sand on piano...it's an intimate acoustic record so hopefully it will echo 'hips and makers' and the finest songs from 'strange angels'...
