Has anybody noticed how people involved in the current Iraqi conflict tend to have, um, rather unusual names My favourite is, undoubtedly, General Stanley McCrystal, but John Grammaticus comes a close second.
Best to find humour where one can, I think.

'Her trademark sound of lazy guitars mixed with violins and wandering vocals' ... now, i'm not the biggest cat power fan, but when since when does having violin on one song constitute a trademark sound how ironic that in describing 'lazy guitars' the guy shows a perfect example of lazy journalism.

Hello all,
The good people at www.thefoodsite.org are putting on a benefit to raise money for their cause in The Village on Friday April 25th. So far the bands playing are El Diablo, Papercop, and me and m'boys The 66 Electric. The bad news is that tickets are 10 Europes but its for a good cause if that softens the blow.

Stoat and Playground Psychotic are thinking of hiring a space in U-Store-It in Finglas (beside the M50) to practise in and we need another band to share it with. It's a big room (1000 sq ft or so) on the second floor, it's in the middle on an industrial park so there'll be no complaints about noise in the evenings or on the weekends. One wall is all windows so there's loads of natural light.
We were thinking of everyone having one set weeknight each, then Friday nights and weekends are availabl...

I blagged my way into the launch party for their album last saturday and was blown away. They did a gig in a photographic studio and it was a real happening. These guys are onto something!
