2 Replies and 1097 Views No Disco E-mails  1097  2 Started by  dudley Right. As expected RTE's response to the whole No Disco thing has been very limited and guarded. They've been sent the petition, it's been debated on Newstalk, been in Hot Press and even the Sunday Mirror. From what I can gather at this stage it's very unlikely it will return, but I think the point still needs to be made to RTE that this core audience needs such a program to cater to it. *Please* keep e-mailing complaintsrte.ie and inforte.ie to drive this point home

7 Replies and 1390 Views Good Friday what?  1390  7 Started by  Dromed I know this site is music related...but can I ask what you all make of the draconian drinking laws that our country have goin on when it comes to religous holidays It's a joke. No gargle cos it's good friday, everyone goes out and panic buys and then proceeds to get scuttered all day friday with their off-licence carry out from the day before I don't get it. I know we should be able to cope without being able to buy drink for one day but that's not really the point...the fact that we can't cos...

2 Replies and 2529 Views Nirvana Compilations  2529  2 Started by  Q2 Howdy! As one of many Nirvana fans, I bought the self-titled compilation album that came out late last year. I feel that it was an utter rip-off with only 1 new track (You Know You're Right) on it. The 'digitally remastered' tracks didn't sound very digitally remastered at all unlike the Best Of The Doors compilation that came out 12/18 months back, now that definitely showed an improvement in quality. I've recently read that while this is as yet unconfirmed, there are as many as 4 more Nirvana...

9 Replies and 2282 Views A question for the feminists & Mel C  2282  9 Started by  Q2 Howdy all, I recently read an interview with Melanie C and she said she would rather die than go on a Spice Girls reunion tour. Can I just say for the record that the rest of us would probably rather die too than see that happening. Sure the mere thought of it is enough to give me the s**ts. One thing I will say though is that to me, the Spice Girls were an absolute joke. The fact that women have much more equality today than as little as 2 decades ago, to me that was completley and utterly de...
