I note with interest that Blur are album of the month in Uncut and Think Tank has been getting pretty good reviews all round.
I have to say, I admire much of Albarn's vision. The ardent Radiohead fans out there probably already know this but the track 'There, there' from the new album is available for streaming from the record company's site. As far as I can see it cannot be downloaded (even though they say it can be), it can only be streamed and it required Windows Media player. You also have to give an email address to hear the track but stick in any old email address and it still works. Link is

Thanks to all who came along to the Singleton / Red Cross Iraq Appeal gig the other night. In spite of the hassle of having to find another venue at the last minute (due to Da2's unexpected closure), E 350 was raised for the Red Cross. I used to get pissed off because KINGSATIVA were being ignored by the bigwigs in Irish music but not anymore. I've just returned from another unbelievable night in Mezzanine (5 in a row for me now). The place was out the door as usual with all sorts of people dancin and singin along (even out into the street). Unbelievable!
Ya see, I know a lot of people think KS should be playing Witnness, The Point etc. and sellin millions of albums but if they did then there wouldn't be nights like this.

Did anyone go to see the Coral last night Absolultely amazing night - brilliant gig, I'd advise anyone that has not heard their record to go out and buy it NOW and defoooo go and see them if they play again. Fantastic live, brilliant energy, great songs and really accomplished musicians and sooo young too.

The Singleton gig in aid of the Red Cross will now take place upstairs in VIVA, South William Street, Dublin 2 at 8.30pm, instead of Da2 as previously announced. Sorry for the late notice...but please do your best to come and support the Red Cross Iraq appeal anyway.
