This Friday the Broadcasting Commission of Ireland is supposed to be putting ads in all the national papers regarding new radio licences - they'll be looking for feedback and submissions - if you see them please put pen to paper - we need our pirates back on air legitimately this time ...no more country fm or whatever the last bloody licence went to....there is talk to four new licences being made available - be heard!

Don;t forget the launch of the compilation CD 'Scene Unheard' on Sunday in Eamonn Dorans, Temple Bar, at 8pm. CD will be on sale at the gig and is included in the price if you pay in (€10), and there is a nightclub afterwards (no charge if you're in before 10pm).

hi all, did anyone else stumble across a station called 'the zone' over the weekend, playing some pretty good stuff - declaring itself a rock station... presumably operating from someones bedroom, which is pretty cool
ya see ComReg! take away Phantom and you leave a gaping hole in the airwaves so naturally enough some punters gone and filled it, even if temporarily or until his/her parents find out

Cluas ahead of the game 1426 4

Happened upon my programme for the Cluas gig (Dec 2001) and was amazed in hindsight at how strong the bill was. Damien Rice, Damien Dempsey and The Frames have all gone on to magical heights since then. Not only that but my faves Rodrigo and Gabriela have done very well too(doing Later with Jools Holland soon I believe) and King Sativa are causing all sorts of waves now as well. Sure that line-up could sell out a bloody festival now!!! Any chance of more gigs in the future to make A&R scouts jo...
