you know the way sigur ros' ( ) album has lyrics that are in a made-up language so the listener can interpret the songs whatever way they want and are free to apply their own lyrics (quite an arty concept but it's a genuine thing with these guys i reckon, not a pretentious gesture)...
i'd love to hear some thoughts and personal interpretations from fans of the record...i kinda subconsciously applied english lyrics to some of the songs and it brings a lot to the whole listening experience...

i know there a few fellow fans of the trash can sinatras out there in cluasville so the good news is that they're still around...i'm going to the t-in-the-park festival on the weekend and apparently the trashcans are playing...they're on the 't-break' stage which is designed for up-and-coming scottish acts, so obviously the band didn't tell the organisers that they've been around since 1990!...it's gonna be the highlight for me, even if there'll only about 10 people with me watching them at the ...

NEWSFLASH – The first ever reunion of The Stunning will take place at Witnness on Sunday 13th July. The Walls will be joined onstage by Derek, Cormac and Jimmy. This will be the first time since their break-up in Sept 1994 that they have shared a stage together. The band will be on the main stage at 2.20pm sharp.
The Stunning’s debut album ‘Paradise in the Picturehouse’ will be re-released this Sept. on Earshot Records. It has been remixed, remastered and contains a number of bonus tracks.

Mean Fiddler, Mono and now The Village but it still doesn't work! Sound is hollow, terrible layout(toilets, sound-desk), poorly ventilated and the ceiling is far too low unless you're right up the front. Brutal! I've been to 6 gigs there now and I've decided that I won't be going to another!
