I was out this weekend just gone, prowlin around some events that involved large signed bands/stars whatever way you like to call it.

yesterday. A free outdoor gig as part of the festival of world culture.
It was excellent..he sings with so much passion.
And he has got a good sense of humour...
He dedicated 'its a bad time garda' to the cops at the back.
Sinead o connor came on stage for 'its all good'.

In my opinion, Neil Young has really set the standard with the release of his new GREENDALE album - a collection of songs which make up the story of the Green family and the twisting road that life takes them on... whats more the release includes a DVD of Young's Solo Acoustic Vicar street gig and a booklet so thick it doesnt fit properly in the plastic tab yolks in the case. All for € 25 beautiful.

in the temple bar. Now i know singer/songwriters are often frowned upon on this messgae board, but i happen to think this guy is pretty damn good. Anyway, performances starts at 9.00.
Not sure how much it is in, but i think it is free..I think anyway.

I was at the gig last week and being a music fan and regular gig goer I was surprised at some of the s**te that we were subjected to under the guise of 'fresh unsigned talent'. Give me a break-I'm sick of bands like The Things, relics trying to revive a long time dead mod look/sound. Man its been done before, so many times, so much better. The band and their associates( Dirty propaganda, roonus.....) are never off this site hyping the s**t out of every gig they play. It takes more than hype to g...
