that cdwow topic reminds me. the one time i bought from them, it was radiohead's hail to the thief, and it had that copy-protection scheme which makes it:
1. unplayable on computers other than windows and macs
2. uncopiable to mp3 players
3. very annoying to play even on windows
cdwow were very good about it and took it back no problem. it was radiohead's label, parlophone, which was experimenting with the scheme for the european edition of the cd.

IRMA have taken action against website CDWOW which used to be able CDs for around 14 Euro. They will now have to sell CDs at higher prices. This really sucks for music fans, because now we have to pay more for new release/chart CDs. As far as I can see it does not benefit Irish artists either because the CDs were legit, and royalties were being paid (admittedly at lower far east rates). What's your favourite album sleeve/artwork/cd stomp/whatever
My favourites:
1) the self-titled 'Metallica' one (or Black whatever it's called, the one with Enter Sandman on it) Deadly glossy finish on it depicting mug-shots and all that. Even though my love for Metallica died with my teenage years, it's cool
2) Quiet like 'Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots' by the Flaming Lips too. Read somewhere that was done by a Japanese artist.

Reading the Sunday World today about yer man who started off the lapdancing clubs in Ireland and how these girls were being exploited was one thing, then later on in page 88 in the sports section was a half page advert for honeyz lapdancing club, was astounding.
The Sunday World has no problem pontificating about these clubs on the one hand and then takes money off them to advertise the place to attract more customers.
The hypocracy stinks. ' King Of Sleaze ' the front page screamed about this...

I'm thinking of buing some music software from Turnkey www.turnkey.uk.com. They have Reason 2.5 for 315 euros which seems reasonable.
anyone have any experience of dealing with this company customer service, delivery etc.
Or can anyone suggest a reputable retailer that delivers to Ireland where I can get a cheap copy of Reason 2.5 Ebay is out of the question after some dodgy bloke tried to sell me pirate versions.
