24 Replies and 3827 Views Best TV Series  3827  24 Started by  Gar Just wondering what Cluas members consider to be the best tv series. I'm looking to purchase a decent series on dvd as I have a week off from work. I've already gone through all of Sopranos, The Shield, Six Feet Under, Cracker and have just started West Wing. I was looking at maybe The Office, Father Ted, 24 or something else. And does anyone know if a show called 'Oz' is out on region 2 dvd anywhere

37 Replies and 4704 Views Frames Bashing, What's the story?  4704  37 Started by  El Duderino Before I say anything else I should state that I have no claim to being the biggest Frames fan ever, I have the albums and I go to the occasional gig but that's about it. It was after the gig in Marley Park I got thinking about this. I can't understand why so many Irish people that genuinely have a love of music have such a hatred of the frames! It can be argued that they do run the contemorary Irish music scene at the moment, but then again, if they didn't it'd just be someone else. I would go...

1 Replies and 1177 Views Dizzee Rascal - East End meets West End?  1177  1 Started by  Binokular Anyone heard the new Dizzee Rascal track Its called 'Dream' and samples 'Happy Talk' from 'South Pacific', what the hell has this east end Londoner been spending too much time with the luvvies in the west end Actually no, despite expectations its quite good, like a happy London where people forget their differences and actually talk to each other on the tube. Of course, he's not the first hip hop related artist to sample a musical, didn't Jay-Z sample Annie a while back We'll see rap...

61 Replies and 8567 Views Damien Rice, the cheeky scamp!  8567  61 Started by  Binokular Am I the only one who thinks its a bit cheeky that Damien Eice has released a collection of B-Sides so early in his career Many of the tracks are only live versions of album tracks, yet it appears to be retailing at a similar price to many 'proper' albums on CDWOW and Amazon. Kerr-Chiiing!!! is that the sound of his scarily enthusiastic fanbase being taken advantage of

0 Replies and 1157 Views Republic Of Loose  1157  0 Started by  Gar I just wanted to start another thread about this kick ass band. They are playing in The Village on the 28th and I can't wait for the gig. They are the best live act I've ever seen twice and this third time will surely be of the same quality. There is a great little mini clip of them performing an acoustic version of 'Something In The Water' over at www.hotpress.com A review of their debut album is up on the Cluas site and if you haven't got it, well then GET IT!!! For something that bit di...
