For any aspiring musicians - its that time of year again.
The Murphys Battle of the Bands competition is underway and they're currently excepting demos for the heats which kick off in Dublin on March 31st, Waterford on april 7th, Cork on April 14th and Killarney on April the 21st.Entry forms are available from all record/music shops aswell as colleges, recording studios and flyer stands in Dublin and Cork. Takes place on Sunday 20th February in Auntie Annie's in Belfast.

The Late Night Talk/98FM Battle of the Bands begins this Monday the 7th of February at Major Toms (at the back of the Stephens Green Shopping Centre) at 9pm, with SYRYS, SELWYN & BRANDWRAP performing. The 3 bands will perform, with comedian Steve Cummins opening the event and a live DJ until 2.30 and drinks promotions throughout the night.
