I have to agree with jules that this board (and the site in general) has quite a bit of influence in terms of sparking off debates and presenting music-fans' opinions. jim carroll has mentioned CLUAS and thumped in his columns, I think john meagher has also namechecked us in the 'indo'... and maybe when phantom goes on air they'll be checking this board to see what's being talked about. a significant number of people (= CD/ticket/publication-buying demographic) discussing the irish music scene, expressing their likes/dislikes/views, quantifiable by number of posts/views on threads... if I were promoting a music-related product (be it a band, radio station, magazine or whatever) I'd be mad not to follow what's being said here.
