Yep, great show. Reminds me a bit of Jeffrey Lewis with the story telling and nostalgic narratives in between songs(only Jeff is funnier). Sufjan has an absolutely amazing voice though it has to be said.. Was sitting in the Upper Circle and was furious when the bar people started clanging bottles together extremely loudly during John Wayne Gacy Jnr. - very distracting and a complete disregard for the gig goers trying to enjoy the song.

Great show alright, I really enjoyed it, it lived up to all the anticipation!! I could probably take or leave his rambling stories but does it matter when he's got those songs. St. Vincent is one talented girl too! I snuggled up with my superman for a good sleep last night!

St vincent kinda annoyed me ,i hate girls that make that nun face when they sing makes me wna vomit also the putting the paper on the bridge to palm mute the strings was gay ..good riff on the ''red lips song'' . John Wayne Gacy is a good song but imo probly the weakest song on the illinous album ( thats says alot ) .the man of steel of metropolis was the best song last night frank me he is a talented dude .

amazing show, was totally blown away by the whole thing. i'd seen him in the douglas hyde a few years ago and wouldn't have thought him possible of playing such an amazing show. the sound from the brass section was superb, the little stories didn't bother me at all i thought they added to the show and the drummer was incredible, from 20 years of gigging that would be in my top ten.

standing is fine if ur up to a bit of buck-lepping but when ur at the peak of ur dancing and all u seem to be doin to the casual observer is swaying gently from left to right(or right to left depending on wat country ur from) then its best to be sitting at that gig!!!
