apparently there was a healthy 3 figure number of drugs related offences, all of which will be recieving a lovely summons soon

Only 43 arrests actually, with 13 of those in Mullingar town itself. Only 30 on site. Hi-Fi has been generally deemed a huge success in terms of crowd behaviour, traffic management etc. I was there on the Saturday and the police were patrolling the site all day, maintaining an unobtrusive presence. Thusly, very little trouble!
Turned out to be a much better event than expected apart from the fact that the acts on the main stage were dire and, mostly, unknown. Hands down the most beautiful setting for a festival in the country and plans are already afoot for some major gigs there in the future....

I preferred the garden party set up to be honest, although it could've been spaced out a bit more, but better than belvedere house IMO
