must disagree there! Thought Aleko were great. Only seen them 2- 3 times. Think they have a really great scuzzy bass driven electro sound.

Really enjoyed sickboy too but would anyone agree some shaky/messy vocals that could be brushed up? Thought there was too much emphasis on the two singers, the lead guy was far stronger. Fully agree with Punchbowl, as soon as Aleko had got through their first two tunes we just looked at each other and laughed, although stopped laughing when I realised my ears actually WERE bleeding and decided to give it a miss... However, the sound in the village is always sh1te so maybe it wasn't their fault they sounded like a massive headache. I'll give them another chance I think. Can anyone else comment on the Ruby Tailights? Was disappointed 'bout missing it.

Hijack: For anyone who missed us - we were first band on - butterfly explosion are playing in the Hub on Thursday with Envelope and Skylight.We're on at 9. Or catch us in Galway in Cuba on Friday 23rd of June and all ages show Saturday 24th. I agree that Ham Sandwich are good.And Niamh had lost her voice but they did a great set. And I got past the lambchop name cos the band are so great. Sound was, as always in the village, pretty muddy - there is such a difference in there between empty, sound check venue and filling up gig venue. The sound men were lovely though!
