I went down to Whelans more or less right after I found out, but it was sold out. Really annoying.
Dunno if anyone else played, I was nearby on my way to the gig when I found out it wasn't happening (must've been around 10.30). Apparantely, there was a bit of trouble inside - people f**king things at security guards, storming the stage and a couple of people were hurt.
It's meant to be rescheduled for next Tuesday, but that's the night they're playing in Carlow (well, meant to be) so I dunno.
As I said, very annoying.

I was there.
Kicked off inside with bottles getting thrown at the poor bloke who was just breaking the news.
The crowd were without doubt the biggest load of tossers i've ever met.
Everyone going around dressed as him, hilarious stuff.
The carlow gig is on monday.
The night itself was good craic. No-one played instead. It was fairly obvious he wasn't turning up.

meant to be playing Spring & Airbrake tonight. If he turns up for that, at least he'll be in the country.

He checked in too late for his flight from Heathrow apparently and missed the flight. Show rescheduled for Tuesday now. He better turn up in Cork!

Well against all the odds he turned up, he was sharp and on his game and I thought it was a great gig. All the good ones from Down in Albion and a few from Up the Bracket, Time for Heroes and What a Waster were class, finished off on a blasting version of f**k Forever. Lights stayed down for the expected encore but after a few minutes it became obvious that there wasn't going to be one.

If Babyshambles decided to play for free in my front room, I'd actually pay 25 euro plus booking fee for someone to f**king get rid of them.

Ticket Master will do that for you Anistar, especially as you paid the booking fee, and if they dont, then I will give you a hand...

Where did you hear that?
A friend emailed me saying the same. To be honest, I don't give a fvck at this stage. If I had my ticket I would probably get refund and make a point of not going. That's if I had my ticket lol.

yeah I was at the Cork gig too, people are saying they played well but "well" just means they actually managed to get through the set without any fracas, i was disappointed I dont think people should count it as a great gig just because he didnt completely f*ck it up, musically i thought it was poor, and for god sake who handed him the poem that he read out and it just went on and on.....another thing that suprised me was that the place was half empty, there was a good crowd of libertines fans at the front but no one at all at the back, i think it was the only show of the tour that didnt sell out, most people were there trying to spot Kate Moss or just for the celebrity factor, there was alot of "I cant believe thats really him on stage, in front of us!" even tho he showed up and actually played i still feel like i want my money back

I agree about the crowd and the celebrity hunters, I'm guessing there was about 400 maybe 500 the venue has 1,000 capacity, I was up the front where the crowd was into it but i could see enthusiasm trailed off 3 or 4 rows back. Cork is pretty bad for ticket sales anyway unless the band is total mainstream and a lot of people either hate Pete Doherty or wouldn't trust him to turn up so all in all that was a decent sized crowd. If you were standing back from the stage beside people who were trying to see was Kate Moss in the crowd then i think its your own fault for wanting your money back, up the front the athmosphere was great and in my book the music was pretty good too.
