In non-festival related news...
What are people's favourite songs about movie characters? An obvious one is Mrs.Robinson. I love White Stripes "The Union Forever" on White Blood Cells cos it's almost entirely made up of Citizen Kane dialogue. They got in a bit of trouble over it I think, copyright-wise.
"There is a man, a certain man..."

Again not a character, but Clark Gable by the Postal Service is a really good tune.

The Cops 'n' Robbers mix of Stem by DJ Shadow contains loads of dialogue from the film heat. There's an old big beat tune by Ceasefire called trickshot that sampled Carlito's way. And of course there's the sample from Animal House at the start of Primal Scream's Loaded.

The Lemonhead's song 6ix features the refrain "Here comes Gwyneth's head in a box".
Which is odd because he's singing about a character but calling her by the actress's name.
Postmodern or what?

"Kowalski" by Primal Scream from the Album that was named after and inspired by the movie Vanishing Point. It's like a bit like Easy Rider in that its a trippy road movie, except with a kick ass Dodge Challenger Muscle car driven under the influence of amphetamines (speed!) ripping up the road instead of two hippies on LSD tootling along on slightly daft looking harleys. Actually as cool as it sounds, the movie is dated and not all that watchable when the Challenger isn't on screen
Gotta love the quote "the last American hero, to whom speed means freedom of the soul. .." - careful while listening to this in the car, it fills you with a healthy disregard for the penalty points system

Isn't there a song about Superman on that Sufjan Stevens album?
Also, "Mildred Pierce" by Sonic Youth. (Although you could hardly call it a song!)
