I must apologize for the recent responses I have posted on some of the threads. It's not easy for me to say this but I quite like this site, it has a nice atmosphere and you people are alright. As I can only work from Home and live in the middle of nowhere (the nearest shop is 2 miles away), I like knowing about the Indie scene up in Dublin and keep my finger on the pulse of what's new and good or s**t. I get responses all the time from friends about gigs and sure I make it up once in a while to see some, but the lack of wheelchair accessible gigs is small. I wish more of the acts would consider this and also take to touring down to Carlow or Louth where the craic is mighty but many pass us by to go to the likes of Waterford or Killarney. Sure thanks for all these threads and i'll keep reading and i'll keep my responses to myself.

He's trying to cause a bit of a buzz about his band who nobody has ever heard of by pretending to be someone who doesn't like them.

I concur. It's an interesting take on the cluas-debate-favourite about posters plugging their own bands. Maybe the Rev Jules is actually Damien Rice.

i saw shallow and the shaloms and found them to be excellent, a really good looking band too. the higinns have only played one gig and i was at it, it was a truly fantastic night, great songs. as for arabs on the increase i didnt like them much, very angry band, dont know why. maybe it was because they were crap, they didnt seem to be making any sense and no one in crowd seemed to like them. i think they were from the aran islands, i think they should stay go back there. bloody trad! i tried to go out to see the BMM but the gig was cancelled Chained seems to be holding back Dara. it used not always be like that!

Not a thread that is needed to be honest. Highlighting bands which in your opinion are basically sh*te. If you are not related to BSD then you have done a pretty good job in giving evidence to the contrary. I have seen the Maladies and The Immediate and while they are not everyones cup of tea, sh*te is definitely not the word I would use to describe either.

i really liked the higgins too and thought Shallow and the Shaloms brought something new to the scene, maybe this year they will improve and will change peoples minds!

ive heard Blue Side Down and they are actually really good. some really cool tracks, the Hobo never fails to get a packed room going. they seem to be coming into their own these days, saw them at Whelans recently and they were excellent really cool drummer, very different to most of the bands ive seen in dublin which is a good thing i think. would like to see them again in 2006, think they have the potential to go far. as for this Glenn is Glenn idiot, he seems like a bored house wife with a Computer.

The Immediate are probably the best indie band in Dublin.
