I quite like the following lesser known albums: Solex - "Solex Vs. The Hitmeister" and "Low Kick and Hard Bop" (haven't managed to get my hands on a copy of her latest yet) Adult. - "Resucitation" and "Anxiety Always" Pizzicato Five - "The fifth release from MATADOR" (they probably have better ones to be honest, but its the only one of theirs in my collection) The Plague Monkeys - "Surface Tension" Max Tundra - "Mastered by Guy at the exchange" Cane 141 - "Garden Tiger Moth" Rollerskate Skinny - "Horsedrawn Wishes" (not all that obscure, but it is out of print) Metric - "Old World Underground, Where are you now?" (once again, not all that obscure, but thes guys should be HUGE by now) Sharon Tandy - "You've got to believe it's..." (actually a compilation of her 60s singles rather than a proper album) Sonic Youth - "made in USA" (a collection of short pieces for a movie soundtrack, never seen the movie, but I lke the album) I also quite like what I've heard from Ellen Allien, SmashTV and loads of other stuff on BPitch Control but haven't got round to buying any of it yet, something I plan to remedy soon. All I can say is the selection of albums above is just stuff I like personally, maybe its less than popular for a reason, to misquote James Iha (he was actully talking about double albums) listening to this stuff "is kind of like going to the chiropractor... It's pretty good for you but you can't force it on anyone else"

Mod Flanders Conspiracy. They've got a couple of albums out, but unfortunately they broke up this year. MP3's are at modflandersconspiracy.com though.
