it is a bit lame when people take the album on as a fashion accessory, making a point of the fact that they loved it before most heard of it but even worse is dismissing music just because it's the flavour of the month.
If you've heard the Bloc Party album or even singles and don't like it that's fair enough but i wouldn't overlook an act just because they've been hyped to f*#k. Have to say I first saw them on Jools Holland - they were tight, drummer was very original but the music wasn't my buzz. Later i got a loan of the album and after a few weeks and listens i loved it, some brilliant stuff on it, might have been my album of the year had it not been for Arcade Fire
