As a regular gig goer you tend to pick up tshirts here and there at gigs...
So folks... what is your favourite music related tshirt and why ?
For me, My mic Christopher tshirt holds special meaning for me, and i rarely ware it to preserve it.
My final straw snow patrol tshirt is a fav as well. Bought on the night of the album launch for about 12 yoyos. These days the band are charging about 25/30 for tshirts but that is largely out of their control and they have in the past apologised for it.
Ive an early turn tshirt as well from years back. Got plenty of wear out of that.
Its a real killer when your fav band tshirt finally dies a death and its not in print anymore.

Oh oh oh, where to start.
My favourite t - shirt for years was a U2 Lovetown tour t-shirt bought at the 1989 Point gigs. Lost the f**cking thing though.
I also love the U2 "One" t-shirt with the photo of the buffalos falling over the cliff.
Have a Springsteen " The Rising" tour t-shirt which I'm very fond of. Oh and a BRILLIANT Pearl Jam t-shirt with a guy wearing a gas mask on it.
Oh and have a Ten Speed Racer t-shirt that the lads very kindly gave to me for nothing after stalking them out to the Purty Loft in Dun Laoire one night. Have to keep that one intact as a tribute to one of The Great Lost Irish Bands.

I'm counting the seconds till lunch hour so I can run out and buy it. After that I'll be counting the seconds till the launch gig next Thursday.
Great to see the positive reviews.
My first Ten Speed T - shirt was thrown from the stage at Witnness 2003. I successfully fought off a baying mob which may well have included Mully and Kloot to hold it aloft in triumph.

We're not allowed talk about that. There was a slight mixup with the timetable .... We missed it, basically.

I have loads of standard ones but the favourites are:
As in the previous post from Kloot's thread, the Belle & Sebastian one I picked up in Edinburgh about 2 years ago - it's in bits now but it's deadly.
The Frames Halloween t-shirt - the gig they did last halloween, picture of a little wee skeleton on it - very nice.
Calexico one form last year when they played Vicar Street

Mully, Whats your frames tshirt count up to ?
In fairness to them, ive always like the frames tshirts. They have always put a bit of effort into getting them done.

My pride & joy t-shirt is the Elliott Smith one I bought at his Red Box gig in 2000 (or was it 1999?). It's got the logo from the Son Of Sam single and it's great, now with added sentimental value of course. I've got a few "You Were There Too!" comments while wearing it out.
I also love my flaking Super Furries Pete Fowler mobile phone shirt that had a glow in the dark bit.
Been wearing em both for 5-6 years. Occasionally I shower.

Well if the T-shirt says it it must be true.

I had a great Pearl Jam tshirt that I loved. It had caricatures of the band hanging off ‘Pearl Jam’. I came home one day to find my brother wearing it while he was painting – it was completely ruined.

There's a great Radiohead shirt from the last tour (that was never available in my size when I saw them) that has lyrics from "we suck young blood" on it.

I have 3 Joe Strummer & The Mescaleros shirts from various tours. My fav being the one with the multicoloured lighter design. Otherwise I have a nice Trojan Records T with just the orange trojan logo on a black shirt. Nice Iggy Pop one from a few years back, and oh yeah ! my Clash 'Straight To Hell' is rather f**king cool too ! cant think of any more at the mo but there are loads stashed away..

I bought the exact same T-Shirt at the exact same gig. Unfortunately I left it behind me in a sweaty night club one night and it's never been seen again
I have a cool Beck one that I bought when I saw him at Dublin Castle in 97 and a nice Beatie Boys one that I picked up at The Big Day Out in Galway in 98. Oh and Gift of the Gab gave me a class T-Shirt when Blackalicious played Cuba Live a few years ago. I was supposed to warm up for them but when I arrived the DJ Chief Excel wouldn't let anyone else touch the decks before him so they had to get another DJ to play CDs instead. The least they could do was give me some free merchandise.
Nowadays I'm a bit too well rounded to squeeze into the miniscule T-Shirts you see been flogged at most indie gigs. Although I picked up a nice scarf when Bloc Party played Whelans.
