Apologies for resurrecting this 'recommend me some country' thread of last week, but I can't believe no one recommended Lucinda Williams! Also worthy of mention is Kathleen Edwards (hails from Canada). Her debut album 'Failer' (released in 2003) is - for me - close to flawless. She's touring Ireland as well in April. Dates are: April 10 in Cork (Cruiscin Lan) April 11 in Galway (Roisin Dubh) April 12 Dublin (Whelan's) eoghan

Yep, Failer is a quality album and she is excellent live, caught her in the Shelter a few years ago. Well worth a look in.

Yes, Lucinda Williams is one of the greats, no doubt about it.
