some good tracks on the album, mary jane, give it to me baby, superfreak etc.. sleazy pop/funk...some of its really good, some not so good. he actually started out in music as good mates with neil young, in fact they were in a group together i think or at least they played together.....and they lived together at one point i think... he did beat and torture women and took loads of drugs...in fact he used to line the windows of his mansion with tin foil so he'd never know if it was night or day and he took a serious amount of cocaine. he made alot of people very f*ckin wealthy with his habit i'd say..on a personal level he seemed to have alot of problems..but i like some of his music... when he died, he had claimed to have been clean..however they found 9 different substances in his body in the toxicology report.. his music is great though in my opinion.... the republic of loose borrow heavily from him..no bad thing..

M.I.A.'s "Kala" and Jamie T's "Panic Prevention"... both incredibly talented artists - especially for their ages.. sure they're only kidz! Can't stop listening to that new White Stripes tune either .. "Conquest" - normally can't stand them, but that song is f**king hilarious - it's like something off "Rock School" !

I'm doing a little project where I'm only listening to the radio and not to music I choose. My ears have never been so offended...

Stumbled upon John Kelly's show on Lyric FM the other day and he was playing Cat Power and Tortoise in the middle of the afternoon! Quite surreal.

That happened me a few weeks back too... some mad french tune, followed by The National and then an ould tune from the 70s that my dad sang on - I nearly crashed the car!!

the wife bought me moisturiser for christmas, dear-i-o....not that I'm against moisturiser, dont get me wrong, but when your nearest and dearest thinks you need it...time is marching! Indeed I have been told how refreshed I look, emm As a wise man from the North once said to me, well in fact he wasnt that wise, if the truth be known, he was a complete loon. but, on talking about life he said, 'this aint a dress rehersal'..absolutely, give it your all, CMTF! PQ BTW, I'm currently listening to Wilco's A.M. (stear this post back on track)

As per my swooning Music Recommendations post, I'm listening to Jason Isbell's Shores Of The Ditch nonstop these days. Also just got my hands on Machine Translation's Seven Seven, its impossible for J Walker to write a bad song. Wilco's Sky Blue Sky still has me in a vice.

Toots and the Maytals - The Definitive Collection (Pressure Drop)... if this really is the worst day of the year, then toots is the only thing for it!
