Ann Scott, Ann evokes something exquisitely bereft and lonesome in her distinctive windswept vocals, her haunting imagery and delicate guitar ripples. Her music has been described as “compelling” by The Ticket. An ability to mix folk and rock music to create interesting and arresting tunes, spurred on by such disparate influences as Nirvana, The Pixies, Jeff Buckley and Madonna…a knack for writing sharp emotionally charged indie tunes and a steadfast refusal to bow down to a male dominated Irish music industry. Singleton, Now concentrating on a solo career, Chris has spent the past year recording his own tracks in studios in London and Dublin. He was a finalist in the IMRO (Irish Music Rights Organisation) Dun Laoghaire National Songwriting Competition. He was also previously shortlisted for the Hotpress/Bacardi Song of the Year award with the track "Save You". He makes is debut at the Boom Boom Room this Friday.
