The Microset Sessions are back with another excellent line up of Original Acoustic talent this friday night, 21st November, at the Boom Boom Room. Featured Artists on the night are: -My Brother Woody- My Brother Woody is the creation of 24 year old Irish songwriter & multi-instrumentalist Michael Cleare. Michael has played extensively around Ireland, sharing the bill with the likes of Mundy, Turn, Marc Carroll, the Chalets, & Colm Quearney (Q). Having spent a year writing and recording in San Francisco, he returned to Ireland to put the finishing touches on his debut e.p. Theres a sweet, innocent, wistful quality to the music, a breath of fresh air, like fellow West Coast pop enthusiasts the Thrills, into a sometimes overly earnest & introspective Irish songwriter scene. www.mybrotherwoody.com -Julia Harris- Julia makes her second appearance at the Microset Sessions after a great set last month. Julia hails from Wales & she and her band Westgate Street recently re-located to Ireland to impress themselves on the Irish music scene. Her music has been described as a cross between Ani DeFranco & Tracy Chapman. Check out her music at: www.juliamusic.com www.westgatestreet.com -Arch Stanton- Arch Stanton, one of Dublins most original acoustic duo's, makes a welcome return to the Microset Sessions. After a well received performance supporting Martin Grech at Whelans recently, Arch takes his refined acoustic sound (in the company of Colm Sullivan) to the Boom Boom Room this friday. www.stantonstation.com -Kal (aka Karen O'Reilly)- Kal is a singer-songwriter to watch. Well crafted songs & an amazing voice, Kal is one of those distinctive talents that deserves to be heard. She is currently supporting Dave Couse on some of his irish dates and is working hard on her debut e.p. She's back by popular demand to play another microset this friday. -What are The Microset Sessions?- The Microset Sessions are essentially a high quality selection of mini-gigs by todays emerging & established original acoustic talent. All artists are welcome, solo acts, duo's & trio's etc. If you wish to play a microset, email us @ boomboomlive@hotmail.com Friday 21st promises to be a great night so please come along and support these original acts. Doors 8.30pm Admission is ONLY €3 OR 2 for €5! The Boom Boom Room is located just off the top of O'Connell St, close to the Ambassador at: 70 Parnell St, D1. (Above Patrick Conway's Pub).
