If I do say so, the members of this board have conjured up some excellent discussions here the last while. And I think we all know people who would appreciate these discussions but who - shlock und horror – just won’t ever hear of them (or even the CLUAS site) unless we get out there and tell them. So I propose a goody two-shoes deed for the day for all the regulars 'round these parts. Pick a favourite thread here of yours from the last few days and send the link to that thread on to someone in your extended circle of friends, enemies and acquaintances who is NOT a regular around these parts. If you're feeling brave you might even want to send the 'Embarrassing music tastes of co-workers' thread on to, er, co-workers of yours who have stacked their desks with the latest Dido and Keane discs...
At the end of the day CLUAS depends to a great degree on word of mouth - we've no customised CLUAS Mini-Coopers being driven around the country by foxy marketing ladies wearing CLUAS baseball caps (well, not yet but we're working on it). So I think we, all good, er, disciples should make an effort to spread the CLUAS word once in a while. What I am proposing could also have the added knock-on effect of bringing on board some new and diverse voices. So grab the direct link to a thread you think may be appreciated further afield (copy and paste the link from the address bar of your browser) and then send in a mail to SOMEONE (hey, if you're feeling generous send it to your entire address book). And don't just think of sending something to someone whose tastes and perspective dovetails with yours. Let's pull in some people to the site who may not be of the usual voice or opinion we hear around here (God forbid, maybe some people for whom music is not the centre of their lives) and let's see what they make of the show around these parts.
Don’t forget you can also email someone via the 'Tell a Friend' page that is now on the site (http://www.cluas.com/tell_a_friend/default.asp).
So, go ahhhn, spend a minute or two doing this. Deal?
