Brand lead singer departs to pursue solo project Just two weeks have passed since Shane O Fearghail, Lead singer of Tallaght based rock band The Brand, made the heart wrenching decision to depart from a rock group he had spend so many years of his life trying to make a success. Formed in September 2002, The Brand became known for having the complete package; music, lyrics, philosophy, image and ambition, Many years were spent perfecting a sound which was truly distinctive and utterly enchanting. However like many relationship time, the stresses of life and the struggle of surviving as an up and coming rock band came together and resulted in the demise of the band. And it was with a heavy heart that Shane O Fearghail made the decision to depart from The Brand and embark on a solo project. Shane recently made his debut performance as a Solo artist with a high profile support to Ray LaMontagne at The Village on May 2 and will head in to studio in the coming months with a yet to be named producer to begin recording his debut album.
