Check out the soviet filter ep, 'naylor shouts at the machines'its been a favourite on http://artists.cpu.ie//bands/31/ for the time that its been on the site. The song 'my polish cleft' has got the no.1 spot 3weeks in a row. J1 has also featured strongly in the charts.

man , that's a bit harsh , I listened to a few of the tracks and didn't find them pretentious at all , just interesting and good , I actually thought my polish cleft was the weakest one , much preferred meteorites , very "elbow" , keep up the good work .

That's odd, I agree but have the exact opposite opinion, I think that My Polish Cleft is brilliant and the other stuff is not as strong but still good, and I see what you mean by the elbow comparisson.

Meteorites is their best song by a good bit. It's an absolutely brilliant tune. Other songs need a few listens before you will get them. Not mad on the heavier shoutin parts though. Will have to see what it's like on monday!!!

I went last night, won't be doing a revieew because I'm reviewing the ep as well and there is only so much time in the day, but the short story is thumbs up.

Went on monday. had never seen the lads before. wasn,t very impressed. they have "some" very good songs but live, they didnt quite cut it for me. Have listened to the ep since, and again, some good tunes. Its just hard listening to it when you didnt enjoy them live.
