Class gig. It was a real countrified/bluesy take on all of his older tunes, but the newer one's sounded perfect. I was hoping that he would play more on the piano, but it was defintely one of the best gigs of the year.

yeah, it was great, The Cardinals are a s**t hot band, and Ryan's voice was so amazing, I dont know who the pedal steel guy was but how great, Neal Cassle is an awesome guitarist and the rhythm section were as tight as f**k. been waiting a time to see Ryan live, wouldnt have minded some more songs off Love IS Hell or Heartbreaker but a class gig all the same, gotta love The Olympia too.# bring on M. Ward Tuesday week, thats gonna be a classic I reckon

I concur. His last outing in Crawdaddy was sublime. No reason why next Tuesday shouldn't be the same.

Agree, thought i was going to be slightly disappointed after the first 4 songs, but things picked up after that. First time i had seen him live - really enjoyed it.

thumbs up here too, really good gig, only downside was too many new songs but apart from that he was in top form. Heavy version of Battering Line was probably a stand out track, as for the new version of NY NY give me the original anyday, he's got enough slow songs already!
