The Last Sunday Showcase is unique opportunity to hear emerging original songwriters perform and takes place at the Holiday Inn, Dublin City Centre, on the last Sunday of every month. The showcase is organised in association with IMRO. The next showcase will be on Sunday 25th May and will feature:- Peco (ex-Pedestrienne) Alice Jago Clive Barnes with a special guest performance from Marc Roberts Date - Sunday 25th May 2003 Doors - 9.00 pm Tickets - €8.00 The Last Sunday Showcase The Holiday Inn Dublin City Centre 99-107 Pearse Street Dublin 2 Phone: 01 670 3666 Fax: 01 670 9119 e-mail: donalmcguirk@eircom.net web: www.holidayinndublincitycentre.ie ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Peco From Monasterevin. Co. Kildare, Peco McLoughlin graduated from folk/rock hopefuls Pedestrienne, and is currently putting the finishing touches to his debut EP “Hidden Tracks”. Having had a break from performing while writing and recording his new EP, the return of Peco is eagerly awaited. One past reviewer has compared Peco to “Bob Dylan with a new set of lungs”. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Alice Jago Dublin born and based singer/songwriter Alice Jago has been a stalwart of the Dublin acoustic scene for the past three years and has supported a veritable who’s who of Irish artists including The Frames, The Walls, The Four of Us, Damien Rice and Paddy Casey and international artists such as Roger McGuinn (The Byrds) and Miles Hunt (The Wonderstuff). With eclectic influences, heartfelt songs and a unique voice, Alice is currently working on her debut album. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Clive Barnes www.clivebarnes.com When a legend like David Crosby (CSNY) says that he is “the closest thing to an acoustic roller coaster ride I’ve ever seen”, Clive Barnes is surely getting noticed in the right places. From Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford and now based in Cork City, Clive Barnes plays lapslide and regular acoustic guitar and has wowed the critics with three albums under his belt to date. Clive’s 2001 “Welcome to Farewell” album won Acoustic Guitar Magazine’s "Homegrown Album of the year 2002" in the USA which resulted in a sold-out tour there late last year. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Marc Roberts www.marcroberts.ie Marc Roberts is a singer/songwriter based in Galway. As a performer he achieved a notable success finishing as runner up in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1997 singing John Farry’s song ‘Mysterious Woman’. As a singer/songwriter, Marc released his debut album in 1998 and his new album “Meet Me Half Way” is currently on release. Marc recently introduced international singing star Daniel O’Donnell to song writing and they have now co-written five songs together, all recorded by Daniel.
