He played it in 2004 for Budrising too, bit of a strange gig, he was off his head on either alcohol or something else. I don't think his last album was that well received (I thought there was a bit wishy washy anyway) and I guess thats why he's only playing The Village. His new album Born In The UK is out in October, it'll be interesting to see if he can mark a return to some of his earlier songwriting glory.

I have a horrible feeling that question will plague him for the rest of his recording-life. It really was a fantastic debut, and so far he hasn't reached that peak again, though he's released some decent stuff. Who knows? The Hour... has grown to be one of my favourite albums. Its a rare thing these days to get an album that - from start to finish - brings you every step of the way. I don't listen to it that often anymore, I've played it to death. But when I put it on its always to hear the whole thing, and I always hear something new in there. Had it been released in 1971, it would probably be a masterpiece and Damon would have spawned a cult by now. But it got alot of recognition (Mercury prize winner) back in the 90's, so I'm not complaining or anything. I decided to go to the gig anyway. Even if he plays nothing from it he's still worth the price of admission.
