Think so? I liked the book. In fact I read it twice in the past year.
At times he rambles a bit, and there's parts that are more than likely made up, but his writing about the early New York days is so vivid without giving too much away. The Pirate Jenny/Robert Johnson chapter is just brilliant. It's so hard to write passionately about music but he seems to do it effortlessly. Plus he didn't resort to tell-alls and bad-mouthing like your typical auto-biog.
I'm looking forward to Vol.2
