Shouldn't it be just 'Frames announce tour' and leave out the irish part. It's not like they ever leave the country

http://www.theframes.ie/v4/news/dates.php Just came off playing some dates on the Loolapalooza tour in the US after doing a lap of Eastern Europe. Now off Punkelpop (Bel) & Lowlands (Hol). These Irish tours are shoe-in sellouts, gauranteed funds that allow them the money to tour/record.

I didn't like Hansard's solo album. They're still a good live band (if Hansard didn't talk between songs), but I won't bother with this because I've seen them a billion times in my yuuuuth and now all Frames gigs are full of people who think Hansard is third to God, beaten only by Ray D'Arcy. They still have a list five good songs though.

Hansard is well able to write a good song but his solo effort was boring at best .... good live band but like everyone else iv seen them about six million times and after some of the vanity driven stuff hes done lately i cant look at him anymore .

i haven't really liked anything since for the birds... thought burn the maps was totally muddled and the solo album was AOR... but, i'll go along to one of these gigs to support the new album... as for touring, they travel to far flung countries a huge amount on their own money... can't fault them there... in fact, i can't name another band who does more work to promote themselves

Who would play Glen Hansard in a film? I'd say Glenn Close coz she has a beard. I know that's a lie but it's fun to lie sometimes

Lighten up, i was taking the piss. I'm sure they've had plenty of sell out tours across the globe that we call home.

It's that time of year already - the annual Frames bashing thread on Cluas. I reckon if the band don't break through abroad with this album then they'll call it quits. Looking forward to the new record actually.

don't like the new single at all, at all... .... keeping my fingers crossed that they've recorded 'people all get ready' in a good manner although i secretly guess that they will have ruined it... ...don't really see your basis for thinking they'll break up if they don't "make it" abroad though, gar anyway, good luck to them...
