Yeah, thought Whelans might be a bit small for him/them. Olympia might be better. Thank the Lord God in his Heaven that they he/they are not playing Worst Venue On The Planet Winner 2004/05/06 The Village!!!

Whelans is far too small for this gig. That's putting me off, much as I'd love to see the 'Horse. I hate f**kin Whelans, man.

Still, sold-out gigs in Whelan's are nearly always a pain in the arse. They should be playing the Olympia...does anyone play there any more?

Thats true alright, although if you get there early enough you can usually get a decent spot away from the bottleneck and near to the toilets, although far from the bar.
