is anyone listening to this newish English guitarist? he is of the John Fahey mold, folk-influenced intricate fingerpickings, open tunings, beautiful meditative half hour guitar pieces, often layered with harmonium and assortments of odd instruments.

no... but seeing as mr bishop from my below thread is oft compared with john fahey, then i thought i'd comment... so, sounds good to me - will check him out

actually, as i'm just reading up, he sounds more reminiscent of tom and christina carter from charalambides than richard bishop...
...talking of which, the boom boom room on thursday - charalambides... you'd be silly to miss it - just leave room for me

ahhhh...why thank you, monsieur...
...you can't beat a good compilation made by someone whose music taste you trust... you can guarantee you will find at least 3 or 4 things you wish to investigate further
