was anyone at banhart's gig in the village this time last year?... ...i've been wanting to see guitar genius sir richard bishop for a while now and i just discovered he supported at this gig... shockingly, i can't remember him - maybe i wasn't there for the support but that would be unusual... did he definitely play? anyone help me out? cheers

I was there but don't remember the support at all either. I do remember some dude from the audience being hauled up to sing a tune when Banhart and band went for a piss. So, sorry, no help there i'm afraid.

he definitely did play and he was excellent, there weren't many people there for his set as there was INSANE rain that night, in fact it was that weekend in july last year where it rained without stopping from thursday night until saturday evening....anyway i digress...i distinctly remember there being quite a high noise level at the start of his set and by the end there was a definite sense that people were in awe of his abilities
