'Drain Cosmetics'...Tom Dunne played it last night...One of those rare, stop you in your tracks, what is that, heartbeat increasing, goosepimple-rising songs that comes along but once a year!! Shockingly good.

aye, savage tune, cool video too.
Saw them live a few months ago at a festival, didn't know much about them but arrived just as they were throwing their
guitars around, pulling strings out and falling over their amps, while making wonderful noises. I turned to my
mate and said "s**t, looks like we've just missed a deadly band" at which point some randomer beside us informs me
"no dude, they've only just started".
great, album becomes a bit monotonous in parts though.

There was a write up about them in the Sunday Times Culture section this week. They sound interesting alright.

Heard a bit of the album and was blown away...real powerful, like a mix between Jesus & the Mary Chain and Mew.

Yes - I second this emotion!!! Cool video - even if the singer looks like a cross between Jimi Hendrix, Prince and Steve Buscemi!!

Guillemots released a cracking EP in 'From The Cliffs' at the start of the year. I'm still waiting on the debut album 'Through The Window Pane' to arrive but it's meant to be really good. They are playing the Sunday at Oxegen this w/e coming too.

Guillemots have got a fair bit of rotation on the music channels in the last few months. Great band - and no.43 is such a brilliant track. Love them!

was listening to this again last night because it's been a while and i was thinking to myself, that fella above who said it was a great album that becomes a bit relentless was right... and just as you think you've had enough, almost four minutes into the rock noise of sapphire eyes (track seven), you have this 35 seconds of pure pop bliss and then it dives straight back into the huge rock jam for the rest of the song... basically, that defines 'cool' for me
