    Don't mean to be a smart arse, but why bother? Vinyl appears on the up again, anyway. It sounds better, has the tactile-pleasure-buzz and the Kids dig it. I'm certainly not parting with mine.

    I suppose I'm in a minority here but being a child of the seventies, I have loads of vinyl from the eighties and early ninties which has never made it onto CD which I wouldn't mind getting digitised rather than being boxed away and getting only the most infrequent outing. I'd never get rid of the vinyl. As you say, there is a tactile pleasure to it, the artwork, the messages imprinted on them but taking a turntable on the bus is just silly.
