The Beta Band were one of my favoutite groups ever and i was sad when they broke up despite having a whale of a time at their farewell gig in The Ambassador well over a year ago. Still, i was really looking forward to Steve Mason's solo project - King Biscuit Time. They were due to play in Whelan's on the 15th of May to coincide with the release of their new album "Black Gold" although this has now been cancelled as Steve has gone a.w.o.l., saying he's quit music and trying to get his head together.
