Anyone catching the surf in whelans on sunday. Really looking forward to this gig. Saw them the last 2 times they played, including their first gig in whelans and they were pretty damn good. The whelans gig was particularily good. Their first time playing and all 3 piece bands eh.. arent they great.

I thought they were great, super crowd too. I just found out that Ira (drummer) is at least 45 years old, he's in great nick consisering, but it may go to explain the Rush T-Shirt.

Thought it was a brilliant gig too, there wasn't one poor song. Although they did the corny "man, the irish countryside is so beautiful" thing. Urk.

Then there was the "we loved touring with the delgados" gaff

Richie Hawley was bloody great last night in Whelans. Plenty of humourous banter in between songs and a superb bunch of musicians that really pulled out all the stops. Hawley is a fabulous guitarist and really worked over a lot of his tunes live as well as a rockabilly set of songs for the encore. 10 out of 10. I'll be first in line when he comes back again.

I thought Matt said it deliberately because you guys said "Delorentos" so often and he was taking the piss.
